2 months!

Where has the time gone? It is hard to believe that my little guy is already 2 months old. He had his 2 month checkup today and is really making progress. He is up to 11 lbs. 2 oz.!! This is the 38th percentile but is good strides from the 5lb. 10oz. when he was born. He is also up to 22 inches long. Here he is not as high, only the 19th percentile but again it is a 3 inch growth. His head is still kind of small at only 15 inches (12th percentile) but the pedi was happy with all his measurements. He gave him a good checkover and pronounced him in excellent health! However, Hayden was not too happy when the dr. was removing ear wax buildup from his ear. OMG I have never heard him cry that loud. He also had real tears when he cried. The pedi was actually happy to see this because it means his tear ducts are working. He had to get 3 shots so that did not make him happy but he didn't cry as loud as with the ear wax issue. One thing that I thought was great is that the immunization for rotovirus was an oral med that they gave to him in a dropper. It would be nice if all immunizations could be that way! He is really fussy and I can tell his legs are sore because I touched one and he almost flung himself out of my arms and had a real high pitched sqeal cry. Oops....mommy felt bad about this one.

The last week we have had big problems with spit up and dr. said he has a mild case of reflux. So he switched his formula from Enfamil Lipil to Enfamil AR. This is a rice based formula that is thicker and they don't spit it up as easily. I hope it helps. He is eating well. He eats 5 oz. every 4-5 hours. His last bottle before bed is a 6oz. one to get him a little longer at night and then he will have a 3 oz."snack" bottle once during the night. We also have to put a phone book or a rolled up towel under the head of his bed so that he doesn't lay flat. This should help with the spitting up. I also can't lay him down for a nap in his crib for 60-90 min. after he eats so he will have to nap in the swing or the bouncer for now.

Last night he slept through the night for the first time!! I fed him at 10pm and I woke up at 12:45 due to a storm we where having. He was fine so I went back to sleep. Woke up again at 2:30 and figured he would be up soon to eat. Figured I would sleep until that happened. He started to fuss and I woke up and looked at the clock. It said 4:30!! Matt woke up and I looked at him and said "did you feed him and i missed it?" He said no. So he went 6 1/2 hrs.!! It was great and hopefully we can keep it up.

I made a new goal to lose my pregnancy weight and so far.....nothing! I just started back on my metformin for the PCOS so that should help. Readusting to that is not fun. I hated adjusting to it the first time I went on it. Oh, well it is for the best.
