35 week appointment

I had a pretty uneventful appointment yesterday. Basically I just had an NST. At the time of the NST, I was not contracting which is a good thing. Once again baby was being stubborn and wanted to sleep again during the NST. The nurse gave him a few minutes and he just slept away so once again she brought in the stimulator. She was talking to him which was really funny. She tells him "You better wake up or else I am going to get the stimulator." She goes and gets it and as she walks back in with it, he gives this huge kick and I busted out laughing. It was like he was saying "I'm awake don't buzz me!!" She waited a minute and he didn't move again so she buzzed him. This got him moving for about 5 minutes and then he decided to go back to sleep. However he had great movements during that time so they were satisfied. I always feel so bad when they have to buzz him. I know it doesn't hurt him or anything but I am sure it is not a pleasant sound.

We are so happy to have made it this far. I am on my Nifedipine (the anti-contraction med) through Friday 5/8 and then they are stopping them. Given that I still have contractions off and on throughout the day even with the meds, I don't think it will take long after I stop them. Heck I could be in the hospital a week from today which is just crazy to me. I can't believe that we are getting so close to meeting him. I don't have another appointment until next Friday. My dr. didn't think it was necessary to see me twice next week since I am still on the meds. However if something comes up, all I need to do is call and they will see me. I will keep you all updated!!!
