Embryo Update!

Hey all! Well, here is an embryo update. We had 6 embryos that were frozen on Day 1. They took all 6 of these out of freeze on Friday. It sounds like a lot but they are not sure how many are viable. Of those 6, only 5 survived the inital thawing. Today, they called and updated us that all 5 of them are Category 1. This means that they are alive and growing. Now, we are not going to be transfering all 5. They have a feeling that a few of them will not survive or will not be good enough quality to transfer. We are wanting to transfer 2 embryos (if we have two). We may transfer up to 3 but that will depend on the embryo quality and our RE's recommendation. Since we are doing assisted hatching with the embryos, this will give them a little bit of help. We are hoping it will be enough help to them implant. I will update again tomorrow and Monday. Transfer will either be on Tuesday or Wednesday. This will make the embryos either 5 or 6 days old. Fingers Crossed!!!!
